Oakwood Landmark Series No. 7: Wright Memorial Library in Early Autumn

$95.00

Dedicated in 1939, Wright Memorial Public Library was designed by the distinguished Dayton architectural firm Schenck and Williams in the Tudor Revival style. Named in honor of Wilbur, Orville, and Katharine Wright, the library has served as the heart of Oakwood's literary and civic life for generations and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

I was drawn to the quiet beauty of the library nestled among mature trees, where architecture and landscape come together to create a place of reflection and discovery. Painting places as they are remembered, I hope to preserve the warmth, beauty, and quiet sense of place that make them meaningful.

Original watercolor on archival paper. 5 × 7 inches.
